Natalya’s music played, and she was out to the ring for her match. It was announced once again that Natalya will have to face both Michelle McCool and Layla at Survivor Series. Layla then made her way to the ring, without Michelle McCool.
Natalya out wrestled Layla in the beginning of the match, with Layla eventually turning the match in her favor. She kept Natalya ground for a moment with a head-scissors submission; however, Natalya used her strength to get out of the pretreatment. In the end, Natalya proved to be too much for Layla, who succumbed to the Sharpshooter.
This match was not as good as their match at WWE Bragging Rights, with somewhat of a disappointing crowd reaction. Considering that Layla is British, and the show took place in Manchester, England, it would have been great to see the fans get more into the match, whether it would have been more Heat on Layla, or even support.
The booking was a bit questionable as well… So Natalya has pinned both Michelle and Layla before Survivor Series, so Lay-Cool has zero momentum. Unfortunately, the memory span of casual fans will not recall Natalya being screwed by LayCool at the last two pay per views. I would like to see some heat on Lay-Cool going into Survivor Series, with some underhanded tactics on next week’s shows.
