Since Melina Perez was released by WWE there has been little news beyond what she has been planning (beyond getting John Morrison in further trouble). Well, on Twitter her fans have started a petition that, if successful, would gain her a place on "Dancing With the Stars."
In regards to her wrestling future, she tweeted, "I hope I can make u all proud. I'm going 2keep going. Even if I don't get DWTS, there will b a next time. As for wrestling I'm not done yet!" It would be apparent that when she is allowed to compete for other companies, when the no-compete clause expires, TNA would be the obvious choice.
According to Wrestlescoop (h/t Wresting Observer), Melina always had huge support from Bruce Prichard when he was working in WWE with her. He is currently the head of talent relations for TNA and could easily offer her a contract.
I was fan of Melina in WWE and always found her matches to be reasonably entertaining when considering the Diva-related content of Raw and SmackDown. She had character and in-ring ability to match her success.
However, I don't think I can condone her backstage antics, which is something I have always seen as unprofessional. To be honest, I called her release back in April when the supplemental draft left her on Raw despite having her heel run grind to a halt.
Other Divas have also reportedly not got along with Melina. Would TNA want to risk upsetting their division? Either way, I'm 80 to 90 percent sure she will end up there, but considering the talent in TNA it might take her a while to become top knockout.
