As former WWE diva Maryse noted last week in a red carpet interview with Pop Candies TV, she has no interest whatsoever in following in the footsteps of ex-divas Mickie James and Tara and going to TNA when her 90-day no-compete clause runs out. Maryse noted to the interviewer that she instead intended to move on from wrestling to work on something called "House of Maryse" in 2012.
No one was quite sure was that was, but it has since been revealed, thanks to Maryse linking to the page on her official Twitter to be a clothing/apparel line that will launch in the summer of next year. That's right, folks: Maryse is entering the fashion industry!
Anyone who has followed the French-Canadian model on Twitter or Facebook for any prolonged length of time should not be surprised by this development: it seems the fashion-obsessed Maryse is posting pictures of herself on (expensive) shopping trips in and around Los Angeles every day.
Maryse's shopaholic tendencies were also strongly hinted at during her storyline with rich kid Ted DiBiase Jr. There was even a rather amusing skit on NXT in which a frustrated Ted insisted his girlfriend go to "Shopoholics Anonymous" because her spending had grown out of control.
Indeed, partly why no one was surprised when she eventually parted ways with WWE last month was because it seemed she had more interest in modeling and going to a wide variety of fashion shows than returning to WWE as a full-time performer (although going by how poorly the WWE divas are treated on-screen these days, we can't say we blame her).
Interestingly, she's not the first diva to go this route in her post-WWE life. Torrie Wilson, after leaving WWE in 2007, opened up a clothing store called "Jaded" in Texas. She later closed the store. Maria Kanellis also had her own perfume line and claimed earlier this year she was working on a clothing line too.
